What we collect

• Email address — collected when you submit a listing, used only for payment receipts and rank-change alerts for your song. Never shown publicly.
• Spotify link and the text you enter ("what is this song about") — displayed publicly as part of your listing.
• Payment information — handled entirely by Razorpay. Wavrank never receives or stores your full card or bank details, only the payment confirmation and amount.
• Technical data — your IP address is used to prevent one visitor from being counted twice when clicking "Listen on Spotify", and to apply basic abuse limits on submissions. It is stored as a one-way hash, not in plain text, for click records.

How we use it

To operate Wavrank: activating listings after payment, calculating rank, sending payment receipts, and sending you an alert if your song is overtaken (if you opt in to rank alerts). We do not sell your email address or personal data to third parties.

Third parties

Payments are processed by Razorpay under its own privacy policy. Song metadata (title, artist, artwork) is read from Spotify's public track pages at the time of submission.

Data retention

Listing and payment records are retained for as long as needed for accounting, tax, and dispute-resolution purposes, and may be retained longer where required by law.

Your rights

You can ask us to remove your listing or delete your email address from our records at any time via our Contact page, subject to the record-keeping requirements above.
