Wavrank Rules
Last updated: September 2026
1. How ranking works
Position on the Wavrank is determined entirely by the total amount paid against a song's Spotify link, added up across every payment ever made for that link. The song with the highest total sits at #1. There is no other ranking factor — not release date, not genre, not editorial opinion.
2. Raising your bid
Submitting the same Spotify link again does not create a second listing. It adds the new payment to that song's existing total, which can move it further up the board.
3. Ties
Two songs can sit on exactly the same total. When that happens, whichever song reached that total first keeps the higher position — the same first-come, first-served principle used by stock exchange order books. To be certain of ranking above a specific song, pay more than its current total, not merely the same amount.
4. Minimum bid
The minimum amount to join the board is shown on the site at the time you submit (currently ₹99). This minimum may change over time.
5. You must have the right to promote the song
By submitting a link you confirm you own the song, work for the artist or label, or are otherwise authorized to promote it. Wavrank does not verify ownership before listing — see our Terms for what happens if a listing is disputed or reported.
6. Sponsored ranking
The Wavrank is a paid, sponsored ranking. A song's position reflects the amount paid for it, not a judgment of quality, popularity, or endorsement by Songswav.
7. Removal
Wavrank may remove a listing that violates these rules, our Terms, or applicable law, including copyright complaints or content that is illegal, offensive, or misleading. See our Refund Policy for how removal affects amounts already paid.
8. Changes
We may update these rules from time to time. Continued use of the Wavrank after a change means you accept the updated rules.
